Municipal Retirees Organization Ontario
MROO has stood as a guardian of OMERS pensioners for over four decades, offering unwavering protection for retirement benefits, fostering community, and equipping members with the tools to navigate the transition into retirement with confidence. Yet as the organisation matured, its brand began to lag behind the vibrant, forward-looking lives it supports. The challenge was not just to update—it was to reflect the optimism and modernity of the next chapter of life. How could MROO’s identity evolve to mirror the possibilities it champions, positioning itself not as a service provider, but as a partner in transformation, a guide for the next phase rather than the final one?

The rebrand began with a quiet revolution: the iconic trillium was reimagined as a modern emblem of growth and renewal. Its layered, upward geometry evokes the idea of blossoming opportunity. A vibrant colour palette and open typography create a visual language that feels both welcoming and forward-thinking.
The design system was built to flex alongside its members, ensuring it could adapt to their evolving needs without imposing its own ideals. Every element—from the refreshed logo to the inclusive imagery—was crafted to reflect MROO’s commitment to making retirement not just easier, but better.
The unifying tagline, “Together, we make retirement better,” became the heart of the new identity, guiding how MROO communicates and connects with its community.
