For over fifty years Thames Brick has been the unseen foundation of enduring structures, supplying the materials that architects, designers and masons rely on to bring their visions to life. Yet as the industry evolved its brand no longer reflected the blend of tradition and innovation that defines its work. The challenge was not just to modernise. It was to honour the craftsmanship of the past while inspiring the creativity of the future. How could Thames Brick’s identity evolve to serve as a bridge between the hands that build and the minds that design, positioning itself not just as a supplier but as a partner in creation?

The rebrand began with a quiet nod to heritage: the introduction of a modern blackletter T, a subtle homage to the timeless art of bricklaying. Paired with a bespoke chiselled serif wordmark it fuses old world craftsmanship with contemporary precision. The visual system is rooted in a flexible grid derived from standard brick ratios, ensuring it adapts effortlessly to any medium from digital mood boards to job site specifications.

Patterns generated from the dimensionalisation of the icon use the brand’s colour palette to create textures that feel tactile for masons and refined for designers. Typography is reserved yet functional, balancing clarity with character.

Every element from the logo to the supporting graphics was crafted to reflect Thames Brick’s commitment to durability, adaptability and respect for the trade. The result is a brand that doesn’t just supply materials. It elevates the process, understanding the pride of the craftsman and the ambition of the architect.
